Welcome to Bridgemere, a typical large town. There are places to see, people to meet, and friends to be made. Your average town, right? Wrong. You see, the government seems friendly enough; caring for you and your family, protecting the town, and listening to your needs. But not everything is as it seems. There is a secret in this seemingly normal town. Most of Bridgemere's residents are mutants. They have strange and fantastic powers that set them above the others. Of course, this won't be tolerated by the government. Seeing mutants as a threat, they have started hunting them down and doing painful experiments on them before most likely killing them off. Disappearances are covered up and most of the townspeople are unaware of the struggle going on right beneath their noses.
But there is still a sliver of hope. The mutants are slowly learning to stay inconspicious, unless they want to be found by the notorious flaggers and killed by the ruthless hunters. Plus, a school has been formed to help young mutants control their powers. Called Aelwood, it is hidden from the public eye in an old ivy covered building. In this building teens attend daily classes and leave at night. But of course, if you put several teenagers within one building, things won't always get along well. Rumors, fights, and relationships are started and ended each day. Their cover is almost blown on a regular basis and teachers are almost always punishing somebody. But hey, it's high school.
As you can see, Bridgemere is no typical town. But since when is anything normal?
